Perhaps you are facing a problem that is leaving you feeling confused, sad, worried, or hopeless. You feel stuck in a pattern of behaviors and emotions that prevent you from solving your problem. As a solution-oriented, strength-based therapist trained in family systems, I offer help so that you can draw on your own strengths and resources to solve your problem and improve the quality of your life and your relationships.
I use a variety of techniques and approaches drawing on those that fit best for you. As a family systems therapist I am able to help you change the emotional and behavioral patterns that are causing you discomfort. I use solution focused techniques to help you notice those times when your problem is less and to help you have more of those times. I use cognitive-behavioral techniques to help you become more aware and thoughtful about the messages you are sending yourself that keep you stuck. I use current research on the brain to help you to make the changes that will lead to a more balanced, centered life and that will help you feel better able to manage yourself and your emotions.
I have successful experience working with people struggling with depression, stress, anxiety, family relationships, grief, divorce, parenting, finding balance and meaning in life, workplace issues, and life transitions such as retirement.
I strongly believe that you have the strength and skills to make change in your life. That hope and optimism helps to motivate you to do the work you need to do to improve your life.
It would be an honor to accompany you on your journey to self-acceptance and relief of symptoms.
